This will allow you to have more freedom while on your adventures. It will improve your mobility without having so much to carry and keep track of. It saves time by allowing you to skip baggage claim all together, and it's easy to switch up plans suddenly with little to grab and go.
There are many tricks to doing this. First trick is to make a list of all the things you want to take with you. Then take that list and split it in half! Also try using a smaller suitcase. Humans have a tendency to want to fill space, so using a smaller bag or suitcase will make it easier on you.
Some even use the 5-4-3-2-1 rule which consists of 5 underwear/socks, 4 tops, 3 bottoms, 2 pairs of shoes, and 1 hat. Always remember smart packing can make or break a trip!
Life happens regardless of what's planned. Like my mother always told me, "Expect the best, but prepare for the worst." You never want to be caught unprepared for the curveballs in life. Whether its as simple as a canceled flight, someone ends up hurt, or an emergency occurs back home and you have to cut your vacation short or cancel all together.
Disruptions to your trip could end up costing you a fortune, so be sure to check out all of our insurance options to fit your needs and make sure that doesn't happen and you are well taken care of through tough times!
You do not want to learn this the hard way! Imagine getting off a long exhausting flight and finally reaching your destination, to learn that your luggage somehow missed its connecting flight. Unfortunately, this is not a rare occurrence, and it sucks to be stuck in a foreign place with nothing but the clothes on your back!
Or what if your flight gets delayed, a drink spills on you, or you get too hot or too cold? Whatever the circumstances are, it is always best to be prepared!
Another tip I've experienced on cruises specifically, is it can occasionally take some time for your luggage to reach your cabin. So if you wanted to be poolside once you get there, I'd recommend having your swimsuit in your carry-on as well!
The periods between the high and low seasons are a prime spot to book popular resorts, spas, or other hot spots that are typically sold out! While tourism hits a low, flights and accommodations are also more affordable and easily booked. These times typically hit sometime in early Spring and late Autumn.
This includes passports, travel insurance, tickets, vaccine information, etc. and is especially important if you have more than one destination or prolonged trip. Make sure you have hard copies in your carry-on incase your phone dies or you lose your mobile device.
